What is the best tender software in the UK?
There is no single best tender software for every UK business. The right choice depends on how often you bid, how big your team is, and whether you mainly need tender alerts, market intelligence or help writing responses.
If you bid occasionally, the free government portals may be enough. Tussell suits business development teams that want deep spend data and public sector contacts. Stotles suits sales-led teams that want one platform for prospecting and bidding, with CRM integrations. Tracker suits suppliers that want alerts, award and spend data and a contacts database from one long-running provider. Tenders Direct suits buyers of a long-established alert service with bid-writing support from its team. RevnIQ suits bid teams of any size that want every tender ranked by fit and a first draft of the response, on a published price.
RevnIQ wrote this page, so we've stuck to what each company says about itself on its own website, linked every source, and been plain about where others are stronger.

How to choose tender software
Start with the job you need done, not the feature list. Most UK tender tools do one of three things well:
- •Finding tenders: alerts that catch every relevant notice across the UK's portals, so nothing slips past.
- •Deciding what to bid: ranking or scoring tenders against your business, plus buyer and award history, so you stop writing bids you can't win.
- •Writing the response: drafting help, a library of past answers, or people who write bids for you.
Then check four practical things before you commit:
- 1.Price you can see. Several tools only quote after a demo. If budget matters, start with the ones that publish prices.
- 2.Coverage. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each publish tenders in different places. Ask whether the tool covers all of them, and Ireland if you bid there.
- 3.How it decides relevance. Keyword alerts are simple but noisy. Scored or ranked alerts save time only if you can see why a tender scored well.
- 4.What it doesn't do. CRM integrations, contact databases and bid writing vary a lot. Ask for the gap list, not just the feature list.
The free government portals
Every UK public sector tender is published somewhere you can search for free. Contracts Finder lists UK government contracts over £12,000 including VAT, and lets you create an account to save searches and get email updates. Higher-value contracts are published on Find a Tender, which became the central digital platform for public procurement when the Procurement Act 2023 came into force on 24 February 2025. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own portals.
Free portals are enough when you bid rarely and your work matches a few clear keywords. They get harder to live with when you need several portals at once, or when sorting the alerts takes longer than deciding what to bid.
We cover this in more detail in our guide to free tender alerts vs paid tender software.
Tenders Direct
Tenders Direct is run by Proactis Tenders Limited in Aberdeen and says it was established in 1993. It offers verified, personalised tender alerts covering UK, Ireland and OJEU opportunities, and says it scans more than 500 sources daily. Alongside alerts it sells bid-writing and bid-management services from its own team, and training courses.
Tender alert subscriptions start from £1,359 a year, and there is a free trial. It does not describe AI ranking or drafting.
Stotles
Stotles describes itself as "the revenue engine for go-to-government teams", built for sales, bid and RevOps teams in one platform. It has a free plan, Basic from £50 per user a month, Growth from £475 a month and a custom Expert plan. Its bid-writing product, Bid Studio, is priced separately.
Growth adds buyer and competitor intelligence, framework and spend data, decision-maker contacts and Salesforce and HubSpot integrations. It's a strong fit for sales-led teams that want prospecting and bidding in one place and already run a CRM.
Tussell
Tussell calls itself a UK public sector market intelligence platform for business development professionals. Its strengths are spend data, contract and framework intelligence, and contact details for more than 80,000 public sector decision-makers. It also offers FOI requests, an analyst service, an API and a Salesforce integration.
Pricing is not published; it sells annual subscriptions through its sales team. Tussell says it is not a bid management or AI bid-writing tool, so teams that need help deciding and drafting often pair it with something else.
Tracker
Tracker Intelligence is part of the BiP Group, based in Glasgow, and says it has helped public sector suppliers for more than 20 years. It covers the UK and Republic of Ireland, and says it covers more than 95% of UK public procurement. Alongside tender alerts it offers award and archive data, framework intelligence, spend analysis, a contacts database and market analytics.
It sells four plans, Iconiq, Logiq, Dynamiq and Analytiq, with one to five licences each. Prices aren't published; there's a 3-day free trial and a demo. Its Aria Intelligence assistant summarises contracts and, on Dynamiq and Analytiq, gives personal insights that assess opportunities against your capabilities. It doesn't describe bid writing.
RevnIQ
RevnIQ is tender software for UK bid teams, from a single bid manager to a full bid function. The Free plan brings every tender matching your search terms, from UK and Ireland public sector sources, into one list with a pipeline and deadline alerts. Insight (£299 a month) gives every tender a Fit Score from 0 to 100 with a written reason, ranks your pool by fit, adds buyer and award history, and drafts tender responses section by section from your own past bids. Edge (£499 a month) adds five drafted responses a month.
Integrations with HubSpot and Salesforce, and MCP access so AI assistants can work with your tenders, are set up on request rather than switched on from a settings page.
What it doesn't do: there's no decision-maker contact database, and it doesn't submit bids for you. The drafts are a strong starting point that you finish in Word.
Other tools you'll come across
You'll also see BidStats in most lists of UK tender tools. We couldn't load its website to check current plans and prices when we last reviewed this page, so we've left it out of the table rather than repeat figures we couldn't verify.
